What Do You Have in Your Hands

“Something in your present will create something in your future”
Your greatness can begin with whatever is in your hands today. Stop looking at what you don’t have and look at what you do have. Something you have got will create your future. You may not look like it in the natural. Moses said to God:
“… O my Lord, I am not eloquent…but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.” – Exodus 4:10
Naturally, Moses was not qualified, but God said, “Shut up! You got a rod”. Whatever is in your hand today can be used to begin the dream birthed within you. Sometimes, you may look as if you will never achieve it. Beloved, stop inventorying what you don’t have, start inventorying what you’ve got. Because, what you have will create something you have not. You remember the widow of Zarephath in first Kings chapter 17, she said;
“… I have not a cake, but a handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse.” - I King 17:22
In other words, she said I have only two pancakes and little oil in a cruse. But Elijah said, you got enough to create your future. There will never be a day in your life that you have nothing. In fact, there is something in you that can take you to your greatness. You got to change your mentality. Your greatness can begin with that thing you call little. The widow of Zarephath looked like she might never get there, but after employing what she had into her future, the Bible says:
“…And she, and he, and her house did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail…” – King 17:15-16
Friends! Never you belittle whatever is in your hand today. It has the potential of creating your greatness. You need a change of mentality. You may look you will never get there, but make sure that the time you devote to reprogramming yourself is accompanied by creative visualization. Once you are relaxed, fill your mind with new and positive images. There is no limit to what you can do.
What about the young shepherd boy David? When he was to fight the great giant Goliath, he said to King Saul:
“…I cannot go with these for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.” – I Samuel 17:39
This was immediately after King Saul armed David with his armour. However, David took inventory of what he had gotten and he discovered that he got his sling and some stones. Yes! What David had, created his greatness. The Bible said that David prevailed over Goliath with his sling and stone. Read this yourself:
“So David prevailed over the philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.” – I Samuel 17:50
Beloved! You must take inventory of what you got. Something you have gotten will create something else you have not. Stop looking for what you have not. The Bible says, “…but there was no sword in the hand of David.” You do not need it! You can create your greatness like David by what you have got. Start now!
